Because they are normally mounted with an interference fit on the roll neck, four-row cylindrical roller bearings are well suited for rolling mill applications where the rolling speed is high.
Four Row Cylindrical Roller Bearings. Multi-row or four row cylindrical roller bearings are primarily designed and used as roll-neck bearings in rolling mills. The four rows of rollers lends itself to carry large radial loads for the given bearing cross-section.
